Finding a Low-Price Party Pad in Playa de las Américas

Finding a Low-Price Party Pad in Playa de las Américas

You really can’t beat a booze-fuelled, action-packed holiday with the boys, but it can certainly take a toll on your wallet. In search of a top holiday with the lads this summer, but don’t want to break the bank? Then look no further than Playa de las Américas – the ultimate party central of Tenerife!

Check out our guide to the ultimate night out in Playa de la Américas here!

Food, alcohol and thrilling activities are all essential parts of a classic boys’ getaway, and are all inexpensive here. But, of course, the best way to save money on this type of holiday is to seek out an accommodation that is easy on the pocket. Check out my insider tips for finding cheap and cheerful lodging in Playa de las Américas.

Budget with the Boys

Talking budget can always be awkward, especially when people have different cash flow. This is why it’s so important to talk coin in the early planning stages of your holiday. Meet up with the lads in the pub, have a few beers and come up with a realistic budget that everyone is happy with. Armed with this information, you are ready to start looking at accommodations and get booking.

Avoid Agents

You may be ready to stroll into the nearest travel agency and lay down your hard-earned cash, but this is not the best – and most cost-effective – way. Instead, tap into the worldwide web and look into sites on which can book flights and hotels separately, and never opt for a package deal. You could save yourself a tidy sum by going down this route.

*Insider Tip: If you are booking over the phone, do your best to haggle the price down – this is usually possible, especially for group holidays.

Go All-Inclusive

Personally, I think all-inclusive hotels are the best way to go when it comes to lads’ holidays. They may cost more upfront, but if the troops enjoy booze and food, you will recoup your money in no time. Plus, how great will it be when you don’t have to worry about carrying cash or factoring in the cost of overly expensive restaurants?

When deciding on whether or not to go all-inclusive, look carefully at the resort and see if it looks fun and has plenty of nice facilities. Since you’ll be spending a lot of time here, you’ll want to love everything about your stay.

Self-Catering

Another option is to book a self-catered accommodation. The main benefit of this is that you can save a huge sum on food and drink by hitting up the supermarket each day. Supermercado Transito on Avenida de Quinto Centenario is a brilliant and cheap supermarket, which allows you to enjoy meals and drinks in your flat before hitting the town each night. Perhaps, you’ll even feel inspired to host your own pre-games!

*Insider Tip: The tap water is not safe to drink, so always keep bottled and/or boiled water handy. Keep this in mind when you wake up parched with a thumping hangover!

Location, Location, Location

If you live and breathe for a good lads’ holiday, you’ll know that the location of your hotel directly impacts how much cash you’ll need to spend. Pick somewhere that is within walking/stumbling distance of the main party strip, but not so close that you will never get any sleep. If your accommodation is too far away, expect to pay a huge sum in cab fees…and you may even lose a man or two on a night out!

Playa de las AmericasWhere to Stay

Apartment Casa Tropical – First up, Apartment Casa Tropical is a great self-catering option. You are just a short stroll from the hustle and bustle of Veronica’s Strip (where all the action is), and you are also close to plenty of supermarkets. The three-bedroom apartment can sleep seven, and comes with a seating area and kitchen. It is a great place for chilling with a few pre-drinks, thanks to its flat-screen TV, barbecue, pool and ocean views. An excellent location and great value for money – what more could you want?

Apartment Playa Veronicas – Situated near Veronica’s Strip, Siam Park, the Safari Shopping Centre, and the club scene, this self-catering apartment’s location really couldn’t get any better! The space can sleep seven, has a kitchen and dining area, a flat-screen TV, an outdoor pool and a cool terrace with barbecue facilities.

Sol Tenerife – If an all-inclusive hotel tickles your fancy, then Sol Tenerife could be the perfect place for you and the lads. Again, you are in the heart of clubbing territory here, so you can easily hit the town each night. An additional perk is that the beach is just three minutes down the road. The hotel itself has three outdoor pools, tennis courts and a fitness centre. Make sure that you get your money’s worth in the cool bar, buffet restaurant and snack bar! Sol Tenerife also has a mini-market, garden, sun terrace and more to keep you entertained.

How to Get to Playa de las Américas

Aside from accommodation, flights are another major concern when booking a low-price holiday. A handful of budget carriers fly into Tenerife South (TFS) from London airports, so you should be able to find a suitable one without breaking the bank – returns could be as cheap as £122! The flight itself is only a little over four hours.

You will want to crack open a few cold ones as soon as possible after landing, which is why I recommend hopping on a pre-booked Shuttle Direct transfer instead of queuing for cabs or public transportation. A ride with Shuttle Direct will take a mere 15 minutes, so sit back, relax, and start planning your first evening while the driver takes you directly to your hotel.

About Shuttle Direct

Organising a lads’ holiday can be a nightmare, which is why it’s advisable to choose the quickest, easiest and cheapest way to reach your hotel from the airport. Shuttle Direct is one of Europe’s and North Africa’s leading transfer providers, and will get you where you need to go without stress or worry.

Pre-book your ride today with our easy-to-use website, and someone will be waiting to pick you and the boys up when you land in Tenerife. Sorted!
