A Night Out in Playa de las Américas

Spain, Travel Guides | 18 October, 2016 | 0 | by Jonny Hughes
A Night Out in Playa de las Américas

There are dozens of incredible party destinations all around the world that are perfect for those who like to burn the candle at both ends. Unquestionably, Playa de las Americas is up there as one of the greatest and it is a must visit for anybody who enjoys adrenaline pumping sports/activities by day and partying all night.

Water reflecting night fireworks in seashore holiday resort festive

This is a purpose-built holiday resort that has been dubbed the “Party Capital” of Tenerife; this location ensures that the sun blazes and you can chill out on the beach all day – the perfect hangover cure!

Playa de las Américas is well known for its range of nightlife options, with a few different areas containing plenty of lively restaurants, bars and nightclubs. No matter what mood you are in, you are sure to find what you are looking for here. If you and your friends are heading out for a big one, this is just one example of what you could get up to.

Pre-Drinks

An essential part of any night on the town, kick-off you evening with a few drinks in the hotel whilst you all get ready. Get in the mood with some music and a few drinking games.

Dinner

Playa de las Américas has all kinds of restaurants and bars selling food. Find somewhere you all agree on so that you can line your stomach for the night ahead. Papagayo Beach Club is a swanky beachfront bar which has great views, a cool ambience, cocktails and DJs playing techno and house. You can also get great food here, allowing your meal to effortlessly blend into the start of the party. Burgers, fish and seafood, meat dishes and pasta are all on the menu and a main will cost between €10 and €20.

Veronica’s Strip

The real fun begins after dinner with a stroll down the electric Veronica’s Strip. A feast for the senses with neon lights, music pumping and people partying in the street, you will be spoilt for choice for bars and clubs here so you may want to try a bit of a crawl. The O’Neill’s bar is a top venue with DJs, huge dance floors, friendly staff, cheap prices (loads of deals) and a great party atmosphere.

Lineker’s Bar

Just a short stumble from Veronica’s Strip is Lineker’s (no, not the Match of the Day host!) on Av. Arquitecto Gómez Cuesta. This is the perfect place to pop into for a few drinks and to regroup before finishing off the night in a nearby superclub. Lineker’s is cheap and cheerful with occasional live music; this makes it a popular stop with stag dos/hen nights. The staff are also excellent and you may get some generous drink deals if you play your cards right.

Tramps Tenerife – The King of Clubs

Practically next door, this legendary venue lives up to its name and there is nowhere better to end your night. Tramps Tenerife – The King of Clubs is known around the world for its incredible atmosphere. There are 3 rooms playing different types of music, so all tastes are well catered for. The drinks are cheap (plus there are amazing deals), the music is loud, the staff are very welcoming and it is where everyone heads for a big night out, so expect to make new friends and dance until the early hours. This is voted as Tenerife’s best club on TripAdvisor and you will understand why when you walk through the doors.

Crowd raising their hands and enjoying great festival party.

This is what a typical night out in Playa de las Américas looks like, but you really are spoilt for choice here and you are sure to find your own favourite hotspots.
