    Cala Ratjada

    The lovely resort of Cala Ratjada is located on a small rocky peninsula on the north east side of Mallorca in Spain. It was originally a small fishing port and whilst the pretty old harbour does still exist it is now the home of luxury yachts as well as small fishing vessels. Cala Ratjada actually translates as Bay of Rays because of the numerous picturesque coves of golden sand and the warm sunny climate which characterize the village. You wont find the large expanses of crowded beach which are typical of other destinations on the island, as sun worshippers who holiday here come for the pretty nooks and secret bays which you can explore for miles or until you find your own private little heaven. Indeed, this region has been recognised as an area of exceptional natural beauty and ecological significance, and parts of it have been awarded nature reserve and bird sanctuary status. This means that much of the rocky coastline and surrounding countryside is still relatively unspoilt, and the beaches are still framed by pine forests where in other areas they have been torn down to make way for development. With airport taxis and airport shuttles from Palma Majorca Airport only 78 kilometres, this is the ideal choice for a short or long break!

    I wanted a bus from the airport to my hotel for my holiday and then back to the airport at the end - just like so many others. The price from the holiday company was inflated and I knew they just book with the same companies available elsewhere. Having checked the various companies it was clear ShuttleDirect offered the best value service - it's the same bus companies on the same routes but without overly inflated prices. Everything was smooth - the booking experience was easy, the bus was ready at the airport and dropped me at the entrance of the hotel and then picked me up a week later and took me back. Definitely recommended.

    Ich hatte meine Tasche im Bus vergessen, in der mein Perso und andere Karten lagen, nach einem Anruf von der Rezeption meines Hotels ist der Busfahrer wieder zurück gekommen und hat die Tasche zurückgebracht. Auch der Hin und Rückweg von Calla Ratjada nach Palma war sehr entspannt und pünktlich.

    Booking the shuttle bus is easy and all you have to do is locate their office in the airport. They issue you with a ticket and tell you where to find the bus. We have always found the bus just outside the exit. Then the bus takes us from the airport to our hotel.
