    The beautiful resort of Puerto Soller is the only holiday destination along the rugged west coast of Majorca and is popular for holiday makers seeking peace and quiet and particularly walking enthusiasts. It is set amidst truly idyllic scenery in a crescent shaped bay bordered by rocky headlands, with azure waters in front and the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range behind.

    The beach is isolated and tranquil, however a few additional facilities such as a promenade and a larger artificial beach are expected in the near future, making it more attractive to families. Just 3 kilometres inland from the port lies the original old town of Soller, and the two are joined by a tramway which meanders through fragrant orange groves and verdant greenery.

    If you fancy a day of sightseeing you can take a scenic journey, resplendent in vintage train carriages trimmed in mahogany and brass, which leaves from a 17th century manor house in Soller old town and travels to the cultural capital of Palma.

    We hadn't previously used a taxi transfer from airport to holiday hotel,
    When our plane arrived late,we found the Shuttle Direct office in Palma airport, and a taxi was soon arranged for us.
    On our return journey the driver arrived at the hotel in good time. It would have been reassuring to have received a text confirming the details of the pick-up. Otherwise a positive experience.

    Unser freundlicher Fahrer hat uns 5 Personen pünktlich und zuvorkommend vom Flugplatz abgeholt und nach einer Woche auch wieder gut erholt zum Flugplatz zurückgebracht. Es hatte alles prima geklappt , wir waren sehr zufrieden.
