Ms A from United KingdomI'll start with the plus point: drivers are really helpful. Minus points:
1. The person waiting to meet me had to wait approx. an extra hour for me to arrive, over and above the the expected 45-60 mins. I fully appreciate I paid for a shuttle service but after being the first to the coach I then had to wait perhaps 30 mins for everyone else to join us. Would have been great if I'd stayed in Los Christianos or Las Americas, sadly I was staying in Playa La Arena.
2. My return pick-up was 16:30 and I flew at 19:25, so after going all round the houses when I arrived, I was worried about the timing for my return journey. Driver arrived bang on time (woohoo!) then hung around for about 10 mins before leaving. Again, I was the only person travelling any further than LC or LA. I like to arrive at the airport 3 hrs before to allow lots of time in duty free and to have something to eat/drink (I get this is my preference, but it cut the trip too fine for me). I was in a bit of a panic in duty free and quickly bought some food to take on-board. By this time my gate was open and started to board after 5 mins after I got to gate.
When I booked the transfers, the company emailed me telling me they would drop me at a hotel about 5 mins away, so if I wanted to cancel they would refund fully. When I was the only person travelling past LC and LA, I understood why they offered to cancel.
I know these are my preferences and the trips were really cheap, however, considering I caused someone to hang around when I arrived, together with rushing round on my return, I wouldn't use shuttle-direct again. I used a shuttle service for my last holiday in Portugal and that was fabulous. In short, if you're going to Los Christianos or Las Americas, shuttle-direct is a damn fine company to use, Playa La Arena not so much.
Cost is great, but definitely best for resorts near the airport

Mrs H from United KingdomI needed to stop at an entrance to a hotel but as it was not the main entrance the driver would not stop. He wouldn’t get my bag at the next sto either I had to grab it and go when he was dealing with other suit cases

E from FranceTout d’abord il a fallu appeler pour savoir l’heure d’arrivée du bus à l’hôtel (transfert hôtel-aéroport) au lieu de recevoir l’information par mail, ensuite 2h de bus pour faire un trajet qui aurait duré 30 minutes en voiture... nous avons récupéré des personnes dans pas moins de 20 hôtels et tourné plusieurs fois dans les villes... quelle perte de temps et quel stress de ne pas arriver à l’heure à l’aéroport!
