    Es wurde nicht, wie im Voucher angekündigt, mit einem Namensschild in der Ankunftshalle gewartet. Wir mussten nach langem Herumsuchen dann telefonisch nachfragen, wo der Shuttle denn sei. Shuttle war dann ein mit Passagieren vollgestopfter ausrangierter öffentlicher Bus!!
    Es dauerte unendlich lange bis zur Abfahrt. Es wurden Hotels in einer komplett anderen Ecke der Insel Malta zuerst angefahren, dementsprechend lange dauerte der Transfer. Wir wurden NICHT vor dem Hotel (trotz breiter Zufahrtsmöglichkeit!) abgesetzt, sondern auf der Hauptstraße, im strömenden Regen! Einfach eine Zumutung!
    Auch bei der Fahrt zum Flughafen wurden wieder abseits der Route gelegene Hotels angefahren (und Verkehrsstaus in Kauf genommen!), das erklärte das frühe Abholen im Hotel! Zusätzlich war wieder ein Telefonat nötig, um die Abholzeit zu erfahren, da sie nicht im Voucher vermerkt war!!
    Mit dem öffentlichen Transport wäre es genauso (un)bequem gewesen, sicher schneller und 1/3 des Preises!

Built on malarial salt marshes the town was largely abandoned after the Romans left until the 16th century. Malaria was only eradicated during the Second World War thanks to the efforts of Allied soldiers.
